Italian Short Stories for Beginners (Audible Audio Edition) Talk in Italian Eddie Pez Jessica Muraca Books
Languages are a hobby of mine, because let's face it; in today's world you aren't going to get very far unless you are multilingual. Italian Short Stories has introduced me to an interesting approach to learning a language. With each story being written in Italian, it gives you the ability to fully immerse yourself in the language. Generally we are taught that immersion is one of the best ways to learn, and coming from a military background with extensive global travel, I have found this to be true. The Pimsleur approach has always been my gold standard for learning to speak a new language, but audio lessons don't assist in reading and comprehension. This book fills that gap perfectly. And the author is spot on when saying that the thrill that comes from completing a story is amazing. Not only has my vocabulary increased by leaps and bounds, but my understanding of syntax and sentence structure is now much closer to that of a native speaker.
The stories are short, maybe two pages long without the vocabulary assistance, and the summaries and small questionnaire at the end of each are great tools to check your progress. The MP3 included is a wonderful boon to anyone who needs assistance with pronunciation.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to supplement their language studies.

Italian Short Stories for Beginners (Audible Audio Edition) Talk in Italian Eddie Pez Jessica Muraca Books Reviews
I have been able to read the visual text of this book and was happy to hear it even had an audible version available. I immediately went to go search for this project and was happy to hear it was produced by the same people who wrote the book. Again, from a beginner's perspective and also as one who is an audible and visual learner, it is vital for someone learning the Italian language to be able to hear how a word is pronounced rather that just seeing it spelled out. This audio book helps me to be able to pronounce certain words and notice the differences in conjugations used properly in order to comprehend the language better. I find it an absolute pleasure to read as well as to listen to, especially in situations that the characters have interacting with each other and the conversations between them that take place. If you're looking for a good place to start learning the language of Italy, this audible as well as it's e-book is a fantastic duo to kick you off!
I really enjoyed this book, it is easy to read when you are having fun. I loved the stories and it was helpful that are short stories with summaries at the end. Another thing that I found useful was the translation of words and phrases that are common to use from Italian to English language.
Another thing that is great that you are buying the book and audiobook with an affordable price, awesome!
Wow! I personally like this book. Normally, when learning a language, you have to go read through the grammar and work your way up in understanding a language. Well, this book has a different approach for beginners like me who has a strong inclination in learning Italian. I personally like how the book delivers stories (short stories to be exact) to beginners and take a different approach in introducing a language. The stories themselves were good and easy to understand. It is simple to use and simple to understand. In each short stories are vocabulary words that are defined for you. While this book doesn't teach a full grammar or syntax of the language, it does present and teaches the ability to listen and how each words are pronounced. I believe that beginners like will benefit a lot and for people who are trying to pronounce some words in Italian. Personally, I think that adding pictures to the short stories will help my understanding as I go through and use context clues to understand the story. While it's not the best, it does the job for beginners in improving their listening and reading skills. A must recommend.
I thought this was an excellent book if you have a beginner’s level understanding of Italian (maybe the equivalent of a semester or less of study). I really liked having the vocabulary defined as I was reading the short stories. I have used books to help me learn a language in the past and one of my main hang ups with learning a language this way is that I have to stop frequently to look up a word or phrase so that I can follow along with what is going on in the story. My one complaint was going to be that there were words or numbers that I couldn’t figure out how to pronounce, but that was before remembering that an audio book was included with my purchase. I loved being able to listen to the stories while following along with the text. Being able to hear the stories spoken was really helpful. While I don’t think this book would be helpful for an absolute beginner (like just started learning this week new), I definitely recommend the book for anyone who has already begun learning Italian.
Italian Short Stories for Beginners is perfect for anyone in the beginning stages of learning Italian. I have very little experience in Italian and I found the stories easy to follow. I was also happy that the e-book contained a link to the MP3 of the stories. I like to listen and read at the same time. I also really enjoyed reading the summary that is written after each story. I was able to use it as a reference to see if I understood everything correctly. There were also multiple choice questions after each story which was fun!
The e-book contained tons of information and helped me learn Italian a lot faster than just learning on my own. It was something fun and new that I could use to help me and I really enjoyed it.
This book with short stories in Italian is perfect to people that have a little notion of the language, and want to improve both listening and reading skills. I learned new words, phrases, correct conjugation.
In my case, i was really impressed to be able to follow the stories even after years without practicing. The author was careful to provide the translation in English as the stories follows.
Another good thing is the possibility to listen both female and male voices as well. The voices sounds clear and help the stories to be nice and easy to follow. The repetition of words make us reinforce/recall the definition and it's usage.
